Personal Bits

Robin believes you grow by helping those causes that mean most to you.

Inspiration:

Space holds a particular soft spot for me. The Apollo landing on the moon in July 1969 caught my interest and then all the Sci-fi promoting the imagination and science of “out there” keeps me intrigued and inspired. The original Star Trek TV show introduced the communicator – much like our modern day cell phone. The video communication on computer monitors have taken nearly 38 years to be possible (and affordable). Now with a webcam and tech like Skype, you can have a video call for the cost of the webcams and internet connection.

Bitter or Better?

If you know someone with a physical challenge, you know that their efforts each day far exceed what someone without a physical challenge manages. The question can become, what are your mental barriers? How do you overcome those?

Activities:

She enjoys travel and finds that ABWA provides many opportunities to travel with friends, to see friends, to learn professional and personal skills at seminars and council events, and network.

Hobbies include creating using computer, watching movies, sci-fi television shows (like Star Trek series and Stargate SG-1), and photographing sunsets and beautiful vistas.

“Pursue your dreams!” I always wanted to be in entertainment, and one year had the opportunity to see firsthand what goes into filming a TV series. No, I didn’t follow the dream, but I found out more in the 8 or so days on the set than I would have just wondering and not taking action!”

Define what “success” means to you.

Then pursue it, prepare for it, know it when you reach it and then redefine it if your idea of success changes. Don’t let the ads, marketing, and others tell you what you desire. Yes, this is a tough process, but you will find your path more readily when you know what you are passionate and focused to reach. I’ve found the journey to be the most interesting part. Maybe you will too.
